Leo Puñal is the artistic name of Sergio de la Casa, a Madrid-born artist whose work pulses to the rhythm of the city. Through bold, visceral collages, he transforms the raw energy of urban culture - its posters, graffiti, torn surfaces, and forgotten fragments - into visual poems that explore the tension between chaos and order, destruction and reconstruction.
Trained in Anthropology and Cultural Management at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM), he approaches art as a space where critical analysis and intuition converge. His practice unfolds at the intersection of observation and chance, activating processes in which memory, identity, and the urban landscape intertwine with a poetic and subtly dreamlike dimension.
Living and working between Berlin and Madrid, his trajectory has developed in dialogue with independent art scenes and experimental contexts in both cities. In parallel with his studio practice, he has worked as a curator and cultural journalist, expanding his artistic vision through a critical, cross-disciplinary engagement with contemporary art.
